FIVE types of Notarizations:

1. Acknowledgment

The notary would confirm your understanding/willingness to sign the document and also needs to confirm your signature.

2. Jurat (Sworn Statement)

You would swear or affirm that the contents of the document are true and sign in the notary’s presence.

3. copy Certification

A certified or attested copy of a record is a reproduction of an original record, with a notary’s certification that the reproduction is a complete and accurate copy of the original.

4. Oaths

To bind a person by an oath. The customer must swear before the notary.

5. Signature Witnessing

You would simply sign the document in the notary’s presence.
